Oxfordshire made a disastrous start to their Minor Counties Championship Western Division campaign as they crashed to 54 all out in their second innings against Cheshire at Great & Little Tew to lose by 135 runs.
After battling to a first-innings lead of six runs, Oxon bowled Cheshire out for 195 second time around with skipper Luke Ryan (5-73) and fellow left-arm spinner Francois Vainker (4-73) doing the damage.
But then Oxon caved in against the bowling of paceman Adam Syddall (6-23) and left-arm spinner Dan Woods (4-31) for a humiliating defeat.
